This policy explains how the mobile game What I Left Behind ("the Game", "we") handles information. The Game has no login, no account, and does not ask you for your name, email, or any personal details.
The Game saves your progress locally on your device only (best distance, echoes, unlocked story fragments, owned cosmetics, settings, chosen language). This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
If enabled, the Game uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregated gameplay (e.g. sessions, runs, distance reached, story progression, ad / purchase events). This helps us improve the Game. To do this, Firebase may process a device/installation identifier and basic technical & usage data — which can constitute personal data in some regions (e.g. the EEA/UK). We use it only in aggregate to improve the Game; we don't use it to identify you personally. See Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy and firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
If enabled, the Game shows opt-in rewarded ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to serve and measure ads (personalized or non-personalized, per your consent). You are never required to watch an ad to experience the core game. Learn more / manage settings: policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Where required (e.g. EEA/UK), we use Google's consent (UMP) dialog before any personalized ads; that dialog identifies the third-party ad-technology providers and lets you review and choose. Our advertising partner is Google (AdMob); the certified providers are listed here: support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903.
Optional in-app purchases (e.g. the Supporter Pack) are processed by Google Play Billing (and/or a billing provider such as RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your payment details; the store handles the transaction.
The Game contains mature themes (a story about an accident and a coma) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Please set an appropriate content rating in the store listing and, if you ever target younger audiences, switch to child-directed (non-personalized) ad settings.
You can reset local data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads). Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access or delete data held by our processors (Google) — contact us at the email above and we'll help direct your request.
We do not sell your data. Information is shared only with the service providers above (Google Firebase/AdMob/Play, and any billing provider) strictly to run analytics, ads, and purchases.
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change. Significant changes will be reflected here. This policy and our handling of your data are governed by the laws of Stores.
